    Stanserhorn circular route
The Stanserhorn offers an outstanding view of ten Swiss lakes and 100 km of the Alps. On the 30-minute Stanserhorn circular route, you can particularly enjoy this 360-degree view.
The circular route starts right at the mountain restaurant and leads to the Adlerfluh. There you are rewarded with a wide view of the Obwalden region and towards Brünig. The path then runs gently to the summit with a breathtaking panorama. The descent takes you past the marmot park, where the cute rodents can be observed up close.
The Stanserhorn experience begins at the nostalgic valley station, from where a funicular railway that is over 100 years old travels over lush meadows and past cozy houses up to the middle station. From there, a new cable car system allows you to float towards the Stanserhorn in the open air and with a fresh breeze. The double-decker cable car, the so-called Cabrio cable car, has an open upper deck.
For hungry and thirsty visitors, we recommend the revolving restaurant Rondorama, which offers a 360-degree Alpine panorama in 43 minutes.
    Why a place of power?
At the highest point of the Stanserhorn (1898 m above sea level), bundled basic rays gather from three sides. The point with the maximum noticeable power effect can be found at the fireplace in a southeasterly direction.

After the convertible ride on the roof of the topless cable car, the summit tour begins right next to the sun terrace. First horizontally to the first viewpoint towards Obwalden, Brünig and Bernese Alps. This view of Mönch, Eiger and Jungfrau is wonderful - yes, the order of the mountains is “swapped” from here. Then you go up steps to the second viewing point, with a view of Lucerne. Another climb up to the actual summit at 1897 m above sea level. M. The descent leads past the marmot dwellings and the launch site for the delta gliders.

The Stanserhorn offers a fantastic panoramic view of the entire Alpine chain and the lakes of the Mittelland. You can especially enjoy this 360-degree view on the Stanserhorn circular trail, which begins on the viewing terrace of the mountain station. There are lots of benches and tables on the circular path and there is also plenty of space on the lawn to make yourself comfortable.

The Stanserhorn is the ideal hiking mountain for all requirements. Whether it's a 30-minute summit circular route or a 4-hour hike from Stans to the Stanserhorn, there is a suitable opportunity for everyone to choose the right mountain hike. You can enjoy wonderful views of the Stans valley floor, the Engelbergertal or towards Obwalden on the way up.

Can also be done well in light rain, provided the path is open.
