View of Kransberg Castle

Kransberg Castle has a long and eventful history. As an important part of the Adlerhorst headquarters, it achieved dubious fame during World War II. After it was captured and taken over by American forces, it was first used as a prison and later also by the secret service. Later it passed through several hands. A crime scene episode was even filmed here.

Even if the highlight is (currently) titled "Schloss Kransberg" and the previous tips relate directly to the castle: This is not the castle, but just one of many places from which you can see the castle! So if you use this highlight when planning your tour and don't take a closer look, you will be disappointed.
