First of all: Even if I got soaked today, the tour was a lot of fun.I first drove to Lich via Munzenberg in wonderful weather. We went on to the Grüninger Warte and from there along various "Gönses" up to the Heidelbeerberg (yes, it's really called that) near Butzbach.Once up there drove past the forester's lodge Butzbach, which was occupied by many men, in the direction of the small mountain village of Oes.Since it is only a stone's throw from Oes to Butzbach's local mountain, this was of course also taken with us.Just as I was treating myself to a banana on the local mountain, it started to thunder heavily. So I got on the saddle and tried to escape the rain.In vain - the heavy shower hit me properly.Since the rain didn't let up, I decided to cancel my tour.I have seldom come home so freshly showered. 😉

After we came back from today's family hike, I wanted to do a few more kilometers on the bike in the beautiful weather. So off to the gravel and let's go.At first the wind was moderate, then it got stronger and stronger. In the end I hit a "wall".Nevertheless, it was wonderful to have been out and about again in warm sunny weather and short pants.

Today I dragged myself to the pilgrimage church of Maria Sternbach with tired legs.It is the former parish church of St. Gangolf in the former village of Sterrenbach. The place was abandoned in the 16th century.Only the church remained - it is now in the middle of the forest.de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sternbach_(W%C3%BCstung)

First of all, I went to Steinfurth to visit my son for a short Corona-compliant soccer training session. Then I jet through Fauerbach to Wiesental.I like it kind of easy to get into the Taunus via Wiesental. The paths are beautiful and mountainous and not overcrowded at all. From there my next destination was the Hesselberg, which I circled generously.Since half of my exit permit time had expired, I slowly went back to Bad Nauheim.Because I was in good time and still wanted to climb a few meters, I turned again to the Römerturm.Last but not least, I let myself "roll home" past the forester's lodge Winterstein.

Today at noon there was again a large portion of speed bolts. 🥵Blow up the stone head once and back again was on the menu. For the "unbelievers" this time, for the sake of fun, I copied hard copies of the recording from my Suunto sports watch and Strava. 😉

First of all: Somehow I have a mega run this year ... at least when it comes to the number of records.
But I'm not going to let my mood spoil, because you can pack a replacement and maybe it's because of the way I drive. 😉
Since I was the only family member today, I wanted to take advantage of the nice weather for a bike ride.I didn't have a specific goal. The only thing that was certain:1. I wanted to do some vertical meters.
      2. I wanted to cover as much distance as possible.
      3. I wanted and should be home at 3:30 pm for a family coffee with cake and cream.
So I jet off towards the Taunus. We went over the Winterstein past the ammunition depot in the direction of Lochmühle. In the meantime, I decided to go to the Feldberg as my destination, free of creativity. From Lochmühle the route led over the terrible rubble-graveled ramp to the Saalburg. (@ Werner: You warned against this - quite rightly.)Once there, I cycled directly to Sandplacken, where I quickly crossed the road to the final ascent. On the way up to the Feldberg my hard tail became increasingly "sprung" and finally "spongy". And shortly before the summit the time had come, the rear tire was completely flat.Great, after 2 weeks I finally had a flat tire again, and I also had to change the hose on my last tour to the Feldberg. So I pushed the last few meters up and then started repairing it.Thanks to the replacement hose and tools in my backpack, the change worked without any problems, but it took time.A hose, 3 photos, 4 offers of help, a biker chat and 2 bananas later, I started to drive back.Since I didn't feel like driving down the stupid gravel ramp to Lochmühle again, I decided at the Saalburg to turn to Obernhain. From Obernhain we went on to Usingen and via the Usa cycle path back to the laid coffee table in the garden.

In your last comment, Karin, you wanted me to water the flowers in Munzenberg. 🌷 🌷 🌷
As a plant lover, I cycled over tonight, but unfortunately I didn't find the watering can. 😉 😜
