The Hahnheimer Bruch nature reserve is located in the districts of Alzey-Worms and Mainz-Bingen in Rhineland-Palatinate.The 50.34 hectare area, which was declared a nature reserve in 1990, stretches between the local community of Udenheim in the west and the local community of Hahnheim in the southeast. The L 432 state road runs not far to the east and north, and the A 63 runs to the west.The area includes the Selz lowland area with natural streams, ditches, woodland, reed beds, sedge marshes, wet meadows and fallow land and ground-moist arable land. The Hahnheimer Bruch nature reserve is part of the bird sanctuary 6014-402, which stretches along the Selztal from Hahnheim to Ingelheim. It is therefore part of the EU-wide network of protected areas for the conservation of endangered or typical habitats and species, Natura 2000.
