History of the house:
In 1850, the inn was established to falcon by the former Brockenwirt Nehse. He promised himself a flourishing business from the new economy on the Pfort to Selketal.
This was a positive development for the area around Burg Falkenstein, since the increased wanderlust of the population should ensure the first blossoming of the inn.
Next to it, the paper mill rattled. This is said to be the foundation of the regent Count Ludwig I.v.d. Asseburg, apparently already on a centuries-old mill site. A chicken farm under the falcon is mentioned in an Asherburg hereditary book in 1586, together with a new mill.
It can be surmised that the "Hühnerhof" is today's Falken, the new mill with Talmühle.
A caterer of the inn were the royal cake, the appetite breads and the Krammetsvogelpastete.Source: ritteressen-burg-falkenstein.de
