In the area known as "Im Stäbchen," further up at "Wolfsheck," and in the section "Hinter dem Haag," numerous basalt boundary stones (W36-W44) can be found. Apparently, the border between the villages and the town of Kaub was highly contested here. Stones W38 and W39, which are carefully hewn, bear the letters ST C for the town of Caub (Kaub) with the year 1782, and on the reverse, the letter We for Weisel. From "Das Weiseler Grenzsteinbuch - Alte Grenzen und Grenzsteine in der Gemarkung Weisel" (The Weisel Boundary Stone Book - Old Boundaries and Boundary Stones in the Weisel District) by the Weisel History Research Group, published by the municipality of Weisel. https://www.weiseler-geschichte.de/veroeffentlichungen-bottom/9-das-weiseler-grenzsteinbuch

The section before the Schwedenschanze was probably the most Alpine part of the track. Single trail and quite steep slopes (coming from the north). Very beautiful in dry weather with good visibility.

After the renovations are completed (expected by Easter 2026), the fountain and the hiking information board will be reinstalled here. The fountain is currently located near the community hall.

The Lower Harbach Mill, located directly on the stream, is now renovated and privately owned and is the oldest mill in Weisel. It was built around 1685 by Peter Meller, who came from a miller family at the Heppenhof Mill.
