There's nothing better than enjoying the warm rays of sunshine during summer hikes. As the summer days stretch out, you probably feel a strong pull to lace up your hiking boots and head outdoors. Fresh air, spectacular panoramas, birdsong, and buzzing bees call you outside. To help you make the most of this season, we've put together 10 wonderful summer hikes in Switzerland’s Heidiland holiday region.

Nature thrives during summer, making the thundering waterfalls, tranquil lakes and spectacular views more vibrant. The hikes in this Collection are between 3 and 11 kilometres (1.5 and 7 mi) long and are mostly easy. Some parts have steeper uphill sections, but they always reward you with breathtaking vistas.

Make sure you wear sturdy shoes and pack waterproof clothing. Even though you'll find plenty of cosy rest stops, it's a good idea to take a picnic with you, as the barbecue areas are very tempting places to take a break along the way.

Now, let's head out into the summer sunshine. See you in Heidiland!
