Hiking Highlight
Only at lunchtime does some light penetrate this deep, narrow gorge; it is damp and cool at the bottom of the up to 70 meter high rock walls at all times. A secured tunnel leads through the rock past the small thermal water fountain to the spring water grotto.
Opening times: late April to late October, daily from 10 a.m. to 5.15 p.m.
Admission: Adults 5 CHF

Absolutely worth seeing in the sunshine is a great game of light and shadow.

Contrary to what is stated in Komoot, the gorge is a dead end. (at least for pedestrians). To visit, go into the gorge to the end of the tunnel and then turn around again. If you want to do a round trip, you have to go up a steep path and numerous stairs back out of the gorge.
As soon as you turn into the tunnel while visiting the gorge, it gets warmer with every step. If you stand directly at the source (which can only be seen through a pane of glass), it is almost like a steam bath. All in all a real and sweaty experience.

The Tamina Gorge is unique, it is so narrow and has eaten its way down so deep into the rock that no daylight can penetrate into it

Pleasant little hike through the Tamina gorge. There is also a post bus from Bad Ragaz to the old Bad Pfäfers.

Disappointing. The visible gorge is short. The larger part runs in a tunnel.
