Hiking Highlight (Segment)
Only at midday does some light penetrate this deep, narrow gorge. It is damp and cool at all times at the bottom of the rock walls, which are up to 70 meters high. A secured tunnel leads through the rock past the small thermal water fountain to the spring water grotto.

Contrary to what is stated in Komoot, the canyon is a dead end. (at least for pedestrians). To visit, go into the gorge to the end of the tunnel and then turn back. If you want to do a round tour, you have to climb a steep path and numerous stairs back up out of the gorge.
As soon as you turn into the tunnel while viewing the gorge, it gets warmer with every step. Finally, if you stand directly at the source (which can only be seen through a pane of glass), it is almost like a steam bath. All in all a real and sweaty experience.

Pleasant little hike through the Tamina gorge. There is also a post bus from Bad Ragaz to the old Bad Pfäfers.

Disappointing. The visible gorge is short. The larger part runs in a tunnel.

Anyone who takes the steps from Sankt Magrethenberg into the gorge wonders whether the gorge also comes to an end. But the views are always breathtaking.
