Conclusion of a 100-year purchase and concession agreement between the canton of St. Gallen and architect Bernhard Simon. Construction of the Hotel Quellenhof and the Kursaal, the bathing facilities and the parks.
1890
Inauguration of the village pool built by the canton of St. Gallen. The Protestant church was inaugurated on October 19th.
1899
Version of the Pardätsch spring water behind Vättis. Construction of the 18 km long pipeline to Ragaz and collaudation of the water supply.
1900
Bernhard Simon, the founder of the health resort, dies on July 28th. His grave is in the cemetery in Bad Ragaz.

Bad Ragaz is a pretty, small bathing resort and is famous for the almost 37 degree thermal water from the nearby Tamina Gorge.

Bad Ragaz is a picturesque little town. A visit to the spa resort is always a recommendation. You can visit the Taminatherme, the old village pool or Europe's largest sculpture exhibition. And then one of the many good restaurants beckons, where you can spoil yourself and end the day.
