From Eisfeld, the Werratal Cycle Path leads you to the beginning of the river a little over some of the romantic wooded hills. Your bike tour starts in Neuhaus am Rennweg. Here you come best with the South Thuringia train (sued-thueringen-bahn.de). This runs several times daily between the main station Sonnenberg, where you have access to the trains of the Deutsche Bahn, and Neuhaus am Rennweg.
