On the fifth stage of the Werratal Cycle Path, you will start straight through wide fields and after a few kilometers you will cross the Werratal Bridge. In the days of the GDR, it was one of the largest concrete tendons in the country. At the sight of the enormous, over 730 meters long bridge, this is also easy to imagine. Right on the banks of the Werra you cycle through beautiful alluvial forests and past wide meadows. You can let your eyes wander over the water and the landscape on the other side of the river.Soon, the Werratal becomes a bit tighter, as well as the loops of the river, which you follow cheerfully. Past wooded hills and through romantic half-timbered towns that invite you to leisurely breaks, the varied cycle path leads you. Shortly before the stage destination the Werratal opens again and you cycle on the last kilometers through wide fields, past the Werratalsee and into the stage town Eschwege.
