Small afternoon round with family support 🥰
Unfortunately, the visit to the observation tower had to be canceled again because it was too cold for the elevator. Grrrr😬 the beautiful path leads over longer distances through the forest, where it was correspondingly cold 🥶 but we were able to sit and chat for a long time in the sun at the "Zollernblick" rest area with a wonderful view 😆

When there is snow on the heights of the northern Black Forest in winter, Bad Wildbad is a popular destination for hikers and day trippers. Due to the good accessibility by mountain railway or by car, the summer mountain is also very busy. On the other hand, things are very calm on the other side of the slope on the master level. We didn't meet any other people on our tour and only animal tracks were to be found on most of the high altitude trail. A wonderful snow hike with lots of sun, blue sky and at the end there was a piece of Black Forest cake😊

The weather report was wrong, it was much nicer than predicted 🌤️🤗
But a real challenge was the actually beautiful way to the Eselsburg: over a long stretch of ankle-deep mud😬 the heavy rain of the last few days and the many cyclists who are up there have done a great job😆 and the pictures are nowhere near in the right order 🤷

Breathe a bit of Black Forest air, but away from the busy paths and hotspots, that was the plan today. Then I remembered the Bannwaldpfad near Höfen, which I had already visited a few months ago. And so it went uphill from the Eyachbrücke stop on forest paths to the entrance. From then on, the hiker, hopefully equipped with good shoes, will only find weakly marked tracks and one climbs, always following the signpost "Ö", up the steep slope interspersed with boulders up to the Eyberg😜 I didn't want to follow this signposted path today, but go over the Eiberg via one of the paths still marked on the map. But after just a few hundred meters the path was barely recognizable, fallen, cross-lying tree trunks made it impossible to get through, so back again ↩️ How quickly a forest becomes a primeval forest again, if you let it ...
Then we went over normal forest paths to the Brandhütte, where a sign indicates that you shouldn't actually enter this area🙄 unfortunately there was no such indication from the other direction😏

New Year's walk up to Wallberg. However, a few others wanted to enjoy the excellent 360 ° view from the Pforzheimer rubble mountain today. It's never been so full there😆

After two days of "Daschicktmannichtmaleinenhundvor thürwetter" it looked a lot better today. A small tour of the house through the Enzauenpark, up to the Wartberg and on the way back touched the cemetery. And the few drops that caught us were not a problem in the mild temperatures.

With the 14th stage through the land of a thousand hills, this varied journey of discovery ends today exactly where it began on April 13th. With one exception, all route tours and the arrival and departure could always be done by train and bus due to the good public transport connections in this region. Fourteen hikes with lengths of 15 to 20 km that have brought me to previously unknown areas and towns.Dreamlike ravines, hills with panoramic views, wonderful deciduous forests, inviting orchards and vineyards, beautiful castles and chapels remain in positive memories. The fact that the hiking route often ran on paved paths, which are primarily intended for agriculture and forestry, is a minor disadvantage.
Conclusion: I would do it again😊
