Across Reddish Vale, Peak Forest Canal, W'low, not all the way to the top, we wanted to finish before it got too dark. Due to the heavy rain recently, heading to Wernerth Low there were a few really muddy patches.

Just a simple walk without car fumes and dodging traffic. We went bowling and wanted to avoid the crowds attending the Pride parade, so the the last part of the route isn't along the canal to Castlefield

Nice trip along the Loop, through Southern Cemetery, Didsbury then along the Mersey to the Crown. After a few beers got the 42A back to Reddish.

Some narrow paths where a stick would be handy - not so much for the walking but to push the brambles and nettles away from the path.

There are some nice even tracks with only a few muddy places and not too much tarmacked road. Some hills to climb, not too steep. A canal, two rivers (3 if you carry on to the Mersey). Chadkirk Chapel Garden might not be the best in the world but is nice and quiet for a rest. Poise brook is a another great place to rest and have a snack (if you've brought one). Please forgive the photos not being pinned in the right places, my camera's clock was out of sync and I then had too position the pics manually. So, take the trip and see the sights for real rather than on a screen :)

Using tracks shown on maps would mean having to walk along the dual carriage way, but going round the back of the Travel lodge there's a way on to the River Arrow that is easier to start a walk southward. :)

The church is clean and tranquil despite the background noice of the traffic. It has a curious building near the entrance.
