The first part of this walk is not accessible to the general public as I started from inside The Fire Service College (simply to meet my 'steps' target 😁). However, there are plenty of parking spaces in and around the town and plenty of hiking routes that start/finish in the town. I also doubled back

Back to the rugged and dramatic coastline of North Wales today to complete my collection of 'Ormes'. It was Little Orme this week. I drove to Colwyn Bay train station and parked there. £5.20 for the day payable by scanning a QR code. Quick & efficient. I then caught the train to Llandudno and walked

This whole, extremely popular, public park is a highlight. A great place to explore and enjoy whether you are with your family, your freinds or your pooch 😁. An early morning walk but already the park was filled with so many people taking part in so many activities - walking, cycling, jogging, tennis

'Pooch Sitting' this weekend so I took Bart (Cavalier) and Henry (Cockapoo) with me on my walk around Sefton Park. Or did they take me on their walk 🤔. A pleasant, gentle stroll around a lovely public park on a warm, summer morning.

An early start meant that I got the best of the weather. Brilliant sunshine and warm breeze. My walk along the river took me through the lovely, peaceful 'Pickering's Pasture'. Another gem that goes straight into my 'places on my doorstep that I'd never visited' collection. An easy walk along well maintained

A bracing walk along the promenades from Twelve Quays to New Brighton. The first half mile is a bit 'industrial' but still interesting as you cross the bridges over the various docks and basins around the 'Quays'. I've done this walk before but when you get to the river front there's always something different to see whether it's the shade and light, the state of the tide (high tide during my walk), the sea state (a bit choppy today), the ships on the river or a 'Sea Going FOX' (see pics). Haven't been for a good walk for a while and this was just what I needed to blow the cobwebs away and get the blood pumping again. An easy walk along flat, wide promenades.

A fantastic day out in Oxford but a day is simply not enough to do it justice. So much to see and do. What a beautiful city. So many historic buildings and such a great atmosphere. I must visit again. And again.

Moreton in Marsh has been my 'home from home' for over ten years. I've walked around it many times and taken many photo's in that time. On this occasion I thought I would showcase what this ancient town has to offer in terms of bars, cafes, bistros and restaurants. And....there's something for everyone.

A very pleasant walk along the banks of the Mersey, through the lovely Pickerings Pasture to the road and rail bridges crossing the estuary at Runcorn.

Nice walk. Done this a few times. Would like to time travel and see those docks in full use and working. Sad to see now. Industrial Britain that led the way. Jim - you're brave! Very bracing today!
