Court Hey Park Loop - Liverpool
A short walk around a small park. I've driven past the entrance many times but never entered. I thought it was time to change that. Court Hey park is small but it packs a lot in. Located in Knowsley just 4.5 miles from Liverpool City Centre, Court Hey Park is a beautiful green space which spans 14 hectares and holds a prestigious Green Flag Award. Court Hey Park contains a selection of manicured sunken gardens, in addition to natural wetland and wildflower habitats which can be explored using a network of foot and cycle paths. Visitors to Court Hey Park can also enjoy excellent parking facilities alongside a range of other amenities to suit all the family, including a green gym, bowling green, cricket pitch, and children’s playground.

From Prestatyn to Abergele/Pensarn
A wild and windy walk along the North Wales Coastal Path. I set out intending to walk to Conwy as part of my training for a 13 mile charity walk in July. However, by the time I got to Pensarn I had been buffeted into submission by the strong headwinds so I cut my walk short and jumped on a train for home. On the plus side there is not a single cobweb left in my work befuddled brainbox 😁. A great walk along a well maintained, paved and flat route.

Daffy Down Dilly Loop - Sefton Park, Liverpool.
A lovely walk on a beautiful day. So lucky to have this fantastic public park on my doorstep. I spent my childhood running wild in this park, in the caves, the lakes, the streams, the wooded areas. Playing football, cricket, racing around on our bikes, fishing. And I'm happy to say that 50+ years later nothing has changed. There are young uns doing exactly the same things today. If anything the park has got even better. Well managed and cared for with plenty of facilities.

From Sitting Bull to Liverpool Marina and back via the Southern Grasslands
Back to one of my favourite, local, go to walks today. Put my faith in the UK Met Office and delayed my walk until midday......and was rewarded. A dull, rainy morning gave way to a gloriously sunny afternoon with proper warm sunshine. I've photographed this route so many times that I didn't think there was anything left to capture. But I still managed to find new perspectives, angles, light and shade that caught my eye. And...I clocked up my 800th mile. On target to hit the 1,000 mark this year 👍

Did you see red squirrels?
We've been there few times and we've never seen them.

From Llanfairfechan to Llandudno Junction via Conwy
This walk was 'interesting' rather than enjoyable. The best sections were the start at Llanfairfechan and the end - the approach to Conwy and Conwy itself. It should have been obvious to me from the map but as the route follows a main and busy dual carriageway for most of the way this is far from a 'peaceful' walk and in all honesty I couldn't recommend it to anyone else. I would definitely recommend Conwy - the castle, the woods and the riverside walk. I wouldn't walk this route again but if I did I would stop at Conwy and not bother with Llandudno Junction. Even so, a great day out with some great views, seascapes and skyscapes, the sound of the sea and a walk on the beach. Invigorating 👍

From Hamilton Square to New Brighton
A drizzley, misty morning on the Mersey. I completed this route several times but it is always an interesting walk. New perspectives, new things to see. Like the wonderfully eccentric, small Victorian Vale Park in New Brighton. Full of curiosities.

Sitting Bull Loop: Otterspool Park and Promenade
Cold, wet and windy walk today which was more about steps and targets. Not many pics as it was more of head down against the wind and rain type of walk. I always enjoy walking along the prom though.

I don't mind walking in the rain as long as I have the right gear on ;-) Looks like a really nice walk.

Waterfront Walk: James St to Mersey Road Part 2
In terms of recording my walk it was a bit of a catastrophe. The Komoot app kept kicking me out, pausing the recording and at one point ending, finishing and saving it when I was less than a mile into it (see Part 1). I then got a message the Komooot had 'crashed' and they were trying to sort the 'bugs' out 😳. Anyway, apart from that, another bracing walk along one of my local 'go to' routes. Easy walking along flat, paved terrain made a bit more strenuous by the headwind. Invigorating 🌬🌫😁.

Did this walk, almost to your route yesterday Jim but didn't share it. It's a great walk and stirs memories of what the docks etc look like all those years ago. Good walk.
