Today we went to and through the thin forest without a plan. Intuitive driving, branching off where we have never branched off and driving sections that we did not know before. Nice shady tour, whereby: thin forest is thin forest is thin forest - everywhere in thin forest 😎
On the way back to the pancake house in Schlebusch 👍 🌞

Today I had to test my latest achievement: a super light camping chair that weighs only 1 kg. It survived the first use! 👍
And I can finally take a break where I want. 😀
I cannot recommend the path from Monheim to Gut Blee near the Rhine. It's actually just a beaten path, partly overgrown and with puddles hidden underneath because of the rain of the last few days. There were wet feet despite the rapid drive through. 😱
But the afternoon sun from above made up for it. 🌞🌞🌞

Adapted ADFC Tour: Tour 3: Blecher: Steinbüchel, Dürscheid, Lützenkirchen
      from kreisverbaende.adfc-nrw.de/kv-leverkusen/buecher-karten-und-radanzeiger/radtouren-in-leverkusen-und- Umgebung/gps-daten-zum-radtourenbuch.html
Unfortunately, the gpx tours do not seem to be well maintained by the ADFC: a) There is a pedestrian-only path parallel to Oulustraße b) The path on the Schnorrenberg was not passable (overgrown and blocked by a fence). The bypass attempt also ended at a fence.
Otherwise a nice and interesting tour.
No pictures, because forgot to snap phone.

Nice walk with friends and with a bit of scrambling up the Tomberg to the Tomburg. Had some great views. 👍
As a reward, there was cake in the friends' garden. 🎂 🙂
The great tree mushrooms also grew in their garden and I simply placed them in the hike.

Today finally, after the endless lockdowns, the first cozy visit to a beer garden in 2021 at the "Alter Bahnhof Burscheid". Daily goal achieved with a lot 🌞 🍺 🙂 👍

Cloudy weather used for shopping at Globetrotter, THE outdoor pharmacy. 🤑
Finally, try an arancini at the stand next to the Globetrotter. This does not yet exist in the province. 😩 Was something different and okay. 👍

      Route from:
The original route was shortened a bit due to foot problems. Super extraordinary hilly landscape with pleasant and well-marked paths. The journey was really worth it! 👍👍👍Parked: 50.36741537473677, 6.638757244044938
Space for 1-2 cars, otherwise there is a parking space for hikers at the cemetery.
      Text from eifel.info:
The juniper, the cypress of the north, is the star on this 16-kilometer Eifel trail "Tuscany of the Eifel" hiking tour. The largest contiguous juniper conservation area in North Rhine-Westphalia is located south of the municipality of Blankenheim.
The Lampertstal nature reserve, which is crossed on the hike, is an ecological gem of particular value. Through centuries of extensive grazing, valuable habitats for flora and fauna have developed here. They were created in the Middle Ages by clearing the forests. The rough grasslands have shaped the landscape of the northern Kalkeifel for centuries and are among the most beautiful and nationally important cultural biotopes in the Eifel.Orchids bloom in early summer and gentians in late summer. Numerous insects populate the flowery lawns of the limestone drifts. In the middle of the landscape, the Calvary rises above the landscape. From there you can let your gaze wander far over the landscape. The Hohe Acht, the highest mountain in the Eifel, rises on the horizon. Feel the special magic of the Calvary and forget everything around you at least for a moment.

Storm warnings for the afternoon caused us to be there in the morning. It was sunny and humid! So we took rental bikes. A good decision! 😎
Novelty for me: The rental bikes had solid rubber tires! I hardly felt any difference to well-inflated tires. 👍
A nicely prepared park, well-kept, interesting and just something different. 🌝 🌞
