The view of the river Nile is spectacular as you cross the new bridge in Murchison Falls national park.
Lots of hippos and antelope to he seen and it your lucky elephant.
This is the gate way to the northern section of the park and park junction which leads to the famous delta area between lake Albert

This is a wonderful walk that I had the privilege to create years ago.
It is still well maintained and a great short walk through beautiful tropical Savana bushveltd.
Not recommend in the dark due to risk of encountering hippo!

This is the best route from Garuga to Entebbe avoiding the main road, which leads straight to the airport.
It can be combined with the Kigo road through Bweya that leads to the southern bypass to Kampala. It is mostly murram road but much safer then the main tarmac roads.

On the last day before the flight back to Germany, an hour-long bus ride from southern Uganda takes us back to Entebbe. Where we cross the equator from south to north, we take a break for lunch and a walk. Here, as at the confluence point 0° 30°E [komoot.de/tour/1349648235], the equator is marked on

The buses take us exactly to the point in the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park from which we started our gorilla trekking [komoot.de/tour/1357018913]. Here we get on our bikes and initially cycle on an easily accessible gravel track through the rainforest until we pass the gate at its border.

This gem of a ride out of bwindi impenetrable forest, then leaves you with a beautiful winding road and stunning views of surrounding Landscapes.
There are a few altitude meters to conquer. But so worth it, one of my favorites in Uganda!

In the evening, after our encounter with the gorillas [komoot.de/tour/1357018913] and the subsequent rainforest hike [komoot.de/tour/1352386093], we take a stroll through the village of Ruhija, located near our lodge, where we also purchase some souvenirs.
As we pass the village school, we are already

After we only had to penetrate a few hundred meters into the rainforest during gorilla trekking [komoot.de/tour/1357018913], we now feel the need to explore it in more detail on a special hike. Because of the forest elephants that live here, this is only possible when accompanied by armed rangers, so

After a morning game drive (with one of our buses, I have put four pictures before the photos of the bike tour) through the Queen Elisabeth National Park and a two-hour transfer by bus, we cycle again. Our short but beautiful MTB tour takes us over a challenging clay track through hilly areas, passing

On the afternoon of day 8 of our MTB trip through Uganda, we take our bus on a game safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Our guide chauffeurs us over a rugged clay track to an unmanaged campsite on the banks of the Ishasha River, which forms the border with the Congo. On a short walk we can take a
