The Mäschder Drehwurm is a running and hiking event. We started for over 24 hours. During this period, the goal is to cover as many laps or km as possible, running or hiking. One lap is 2.63 km long.



The circuit turned out to be more difficult than anticipated; the long ascent (approx. 400 m) was steeper

In typically North German miserable weather 😉🌧, the Mammutmarsch took place in Hamburg yesterday.



It was 50 km through and around the city - always an experience, regardless of the weather.



Inner and Outer Alster, City Hall, Elbphilharmonie, Jungfernsteg and much more were there to admire.

In glorious weather, yesterday's tour took us around Mönchengladbach.



As part of a MegaMarch, we set out to explore the beautiful and interesting landscape.



The route is very flat, well-maintained and, apart from the long distance, poses no particular challenge.

Today's plan was a hike around the town of Leer.



We followed the so-called Educational Ecology Trail, a large loop around the town in a counter-clockwise direction.



Highlights included Evenburg Castle Park, the confluence of the Ems and Leda rivers, the Heisfelde recreation area, and Julianenpark.

Once again, we were incredibly lucky with the weather 🌞🌤, allowing us to enjoy the warm temperatures, the soothing sunshine, and the beautiful scenery at a leisurely pace.

Today's hike was a loop around Lake Ratzeburg ⛵️⚓️.



In absolutely gorgeous weather 🌞, I hiked counter-clockwise around Schleswig-Holstein's third-largest lake.



I especially enjoyed the fact that the path runs close to the shore for long stretches, offering stunning views at every turn.

The so-called "Schola Dei" pilgrimage route runs from the town of Norden south to Ihlow Monastery and is between 36 and 39 km long, depending on how you define the route.



I hiked this route yesterday in ideal weather and extended it a bit to suit my needs.



In my opinion, these detours are worthwhile, as

The plan was simply to buy some fresh rolls in the morning.



However, since the sun 🌞❄️ was shining so beautifully, this plan "escalated" and we ended up walking a few kilometers more... 😉😅

Yesterday, Saturday, a hike organized by the new hiking group "Step by Step 100" took place in and around Paderborn.



Starting at Lake Lippe, the route led first via Neuhaus Castle to Paderborn – a very beautiful city that we thoroughly enjoyed.
