Now that the Rahmedetal Bridge is finally open again, we immediately headed out on the A45 and took a detour into the Lüdenscheid Sauerland region. Our destination was the Homert Tower and the Verse Dam. It was a fantastic hike, and we'll definitely be exploring this part of the Sauerland more often.

So that was it, the first North March in Herdecke. Due to a serious incident, we first had to complete the 8 km loop and then add the 16 km on top.
Phew, those were some "nice" elevation gains! But overall, an interesting 24 kilometers. It was such a nice little event, and I'm already looking forward to next year.

I love hiking in Schalksmühle, especially in this area. This time, however, our path didn't lead us towards the Glörtalsperre reservoir, but in the opposite direction. And I have to say, it was worth it. As someone who loves panoramic views, I was absolutely thrilled! 🤩 And as you can see, we even got

I wanted to take another stroll around the Danzturm tower, so I headed back towards Iserlohn. This time I even climbed the tower, which I found particularly enjoyable. Not only are the views from up there worthwhile, but I also found the information panels along the way to be really nice and informative

Apart from the section through the industrial area, it was still a pleasant walk, which eventually led us through the Sterbecker Valley

Since the famous Anthony Quinn Bay is nearby, I'm naturally looking for a way to reach it by hiking. Yes, I have to say that, thank goodness, the many piles of stones on the beach showed us the way, otherwise it would have been a difficult undertaking. But this way, it turned out to be a wonderful experience

Some time ago, we discovered the iron sculptures at the Henrichshütte ironworks during a hike, and we wanted to go back. This time, however, we followed the towpath, which I've already hiked several times from the Bochum side. It's a really beautiful corner of the Ruhr area, and with this weather, it
