Second round after the heavy rain in Dortmund. At Kirchderner Graben you can see how high the Emscher was. Continue to DO-Hörde to the Phönixsee, where the Emscher is led in. You can see where the water stood at the flood ditches and catch basins. The lower path was under water, now accessible again. Vaccination center looked normal. Accidentally discovered "Open House" at the BVB Stadium. Almost like old times! BVB jerseys / fans are queuing for a sausage or the bouncy castle, or to get to the stadium. The way back along the Emscherweg R. Hafen, the flood guidance worked there too. We went home pretty exhausted from all the impressions.

The question: rain or no rain ?! The clouds tell a dramatic story, the cycling shorts want to be moved. So with MENNE on well-known routes, get on your bike and go.
The action was rewarded with a plane approaching for landing - reflexively ducking the head ... soooo deep. Class!
When it started to go home to be on the safe side.
What can I say? The clouds told fairy tales. Hardly at home, the sun almost came out again. Really crazy this "summer" ...

Tour with MENNE, again to the MTB Park Gneisenau. It's crazy how the kiddi's daredevilly rush down there and jump! Continue for a little refreshment to the Preussenhafen, past the Horstmarersee towards Schwansbell Castle - where the city of Lünen has integrated a museum. Beautiful cottage garden! Class!
It then went back to Scharnhorst via the Lippeauen and Brambauer.

Made a little tour with Menne right on the doorstep.
Up the dump from the former Victoria colliery: a beautiful mountain bike park has been created.
The giant swing finally tried out: full childhood memories are awakened 😊 ...
On to the Preussenhafen: no more mask noise ... very nice!
Back via Gneisenautrasse ... hello beer garden / the 1st wheat beer ... and back home via Kirchderner Graben.
Relaxing tour, just right after a 60-hour week ...

Wonderful tour over fields, meadows, forest paths. Pure nature! As the grand finale, I met Maren, known from television with "Ab ins Beet".
I also tested my new cycling shorts: super comfortable.
Weather played along too, so it was an all-round successful trip!

The Körne / Körneweg / Körnebach as a companion towards Kurl / Wasserkurl. Via Südkamen to Derne (there is a second Derne ... I didn't know ... I thought, I'll be home soon 😂).
Via Westick and again Wasserkurl, via DO Husen back to Scharnhorst.
Nice tour, hardly any main roads, great railway lines and designated bike paths really made you want to ride. From now on I also know that there is a second star nearby ... 😉😊

Menne said the trophy could be admired at the stadium. Entry to the stadium possible with a test. So go ahead: with a negative test there: no more admission ... 😱 too late ...
So used the test for visiting the beer garden.
DELICIOUS!!! Way home via Dorstfelder Emscher Cycle Path, Hafen and Bornstrasse. The NSG Kirchderner Wald for a short time
Taken before the goal - wonderful !!!
73 km in total today, the longest so far for me ...
