Smashing walk with the Saturday Chesterfield and NE Derbyshire group.
Mike led a very interesting and varied walk today as I had never walked in that direction from Monsal head before and dropping down towards Bakewell we passed along side the old mine and workings of Holme Bank Chert Mine.

There were two guys getting on wet suits to continue researching the mine through some flooded areas and they were in the process of mapping it all out.
I had never been to Ashford in the Water and this was very pretty, especially with all the colours of Autumn 🍂🍂
