Zerstört von einem Erdbeben 1693 wurde Noto etwas südlicher neu aufgebaut. Dabei hatte der Architekt die meisten Gebäude in barocken Stil errichten lassen. Heute UNESCO Weltkulturerbestadt. Ein Gewitter hatte uns anfangs die Freude am betrachten etwas genommen. Später beim Pistazien Eis essen war die Freude wieder voll da.
