A truly spectacular day on a Snowdon outlier. Climbed from Llanberis, past the famed mountain railway and a long climb up the north east ridge of Moel Eilio. The hill itself is a bit of a straightforward trudge, but the conditions that day were exceptional with broken inversion clouds clinging to the slopes of Snowdon and filling the Valley of Nant-y-Betws to the west. From Moel Eilio, descend the south east ridge over the tops of Fole Gron and Foel Goch to reach the Bwlch Maesgwm. Return to Llanberis along a very good path through Maesgwm past a number of ruins, and taking in the waterfall of Ceunant Mawr on the way.
