Sehr beeindruckendes und weitläufigers Industriedenkmal (+aktiver Tagebau). Man kann dort Stunden verbringen.

18 Brennöfen liefen damals rund um die Uhr...wie dreckig die Luft gewesen sein muss...unvorstellbar!!! 🫪

Zweck: Die Öfen brannten Kalkstein zu Branntkalk. Das Produkt war wichtig für den großen Baubedarf in Berlin.

Bauzeit: Die Anlage wurde zwischen 1871 und 1877 errichtet.
