A really nice hike, the weather was better than expected but thankfully it was nice and breezy along the edges and moors which made up for the heat. Truly special hike, 4 inclines and declines as is the case with long hikes around the Peak District but always rewarding. Manchester in the distance, kinder plateau ahead, mam tor and Stanage edge in the background it’s really nice being in national parks where everything is so familiar and you know what’s what. A lot of sweat knee slightly iffy maybe due to football? Nevertheless iconic. The last road back in to chinley didn’t disappoint with houses from fairy tales. Perfect gardens perfect drives and porches, amazing architecture and a view to go with how can you possibly complain
