Die 6. Etappe des Malerwegs beginnt mit einer Fährüberfahrt über die Elbe nach Schmilka-Hirschmühle. Über den Aschersteig geht es hinauf nach Schöna und weiter auf dem Caspar-David-Friedrich-Weg zum aussichtsreichen Wolfsberg. Unterwegs laden die Kaiserkrone und der Zirkelstein zu kurzen Abstechern ein. Nach Reinhardtsdorf und der historischen Dorfkirche führt der Weg vorbei an der Liethenmühle. Den krönenden Abschluss bilden die steilen Tafelberge Papststein und Gohrisch mit ihren beeindruckenden Panoramablicken über die Sächsische Schweiz.
