After an easy day yesterday, this was a tough one. Three big climbs to start and a monster headwind on the exposed hills. Hard work on a loaded bike, but fantastic views in the sunshine. A fast downhill on Tennyson Trail to Carisbrooke and a scenic route round the castle then on to the Red Squirrel trail. Normally I go through the Garlic Farm and push up Arreton Down, but with the weight on the bike I took the road to Havenstreet, then finished on the bridleways to Wootton. Another great days riding on the Island. I kept losing GPS signal on this ride, so the stats and plot are slightly messed up.
