Gestartet sind wir mitten im Zentrum von Bergen aan Zee.
Von dort aus geht es direkt ins Dünenreservat. Mega idyllisch geht es über teils befestigte, teils aber auch strandähnliche Wege durch die Dünen. Die Landschaft wechselt zwischen kargen Sandabschnitten, bodennahen Heidesträuchern, saftigem Wald und schönen, kleinen Seen.

Mit etwas Glück wird der Weg von Hochlandrindern, Wildpferden und Schafen begleitet.
