Starting point: Parking lot in Geislingen

The route takes you through the Bühlertal valley to Cröffelbach and back again via gravel and paved paths.

Perfect for cooler or overcast days, as most sections are sunny.

But it's incredibly idyllic, and—as is usually the case—we were completely alone again 🥰

Today we hiked our first leg – the final leg of the Neckarsteig trail.

From Bad Wimpfen, we first took public transport to Gundelsheim.

Leaving Gundelsheim behind, the hike continues steeply uphill on beautiful forest paths, then takes a leisurely stroll through beautiful, dense forest past Guttenberg

The ascent takes us along superb trails past many small and very picturesque chapels to Calvary Hill.

This offers a wonderful view and invites you to take a short breather.

Afterwards, we head back down the other side of the mountain on equally small forest paths to the valley to Swan Lake. The trail is

A beautiful hike through the snowy winter forest and then along the lakes back to Bad Faulenbach.

Also recommended in summer: shady trees and lakes for cooling off.

The first 4.5 km are a leisurely walk through forests and across wide meadows, steadily downhill. Wonderful views accompany the path.

Back in the dense forest, there are a few tough meters of elevation to overcome. After that, it's a moderate climb until we return

Today we set off on the sixth and final Roman path for us.

The first and last two kilometers run through dense forest.

The route in between leads across open fields and meadows, mostly through tall grass. Not really suitable for very hot and sunny days - long clothing

Very nice, comfortable Roman path that should be doable for everyone. If you are nearby, you shouldn't miss it. We are a little undecided as to whether it is worth driving there...
