Die Route geht über den Weimarer Marktplatz und das Stadtschloss in den Ilmpark, führt vorbei am Gartenhaus von Goethe, dem Römischen Haus, errichtet von Carl August, weiter zum Bienenmuseum und schließlich zum Schloss Belvedere mit sehenswertem Park und Orangerie. Der Rückweg folgt in großen Teilen dem Goetheweg und endet erneut im Stadtzentrum Weimars.
