A plod across the sandy dunes from the busy desert camps back to the bus stop town of Mergouza.
A bustling tourist town on the edge of the Sahara. If you are looking for a blend of desert experience with authentic food, Berber music and hospitality while enjoying a few creature comforts like flushing toilets, comfortable beds and WiFi this could be the place for you.
If you are looking for the remote silence of the Sahara and still cool nights then I wouldnt say this is the experience you are after.
Prices vary but expect to pay €40 to €60 pppn inc of transport jeep/camel, guided tour, all food and accommodation plus the return to town.
