From the S-Bahn station in Marxzell, it goes steeply towards Mittelberg. Halfway up, a pavilion invites you to take a break. Continue on narrow trails through the forest up to Mittelberg, from where you can enjoy a magnificent view towards Karlsruhe. You continue to Moosbronn, where you can treat yourself to a break, before you always start along the water through the shady Moosalb valley back down towards the Albtal. On your way, you will pass several old water pipes and canals and inform yourself about the historic water meadows. When you reach the Albtal, you get back to the starting point with the S-Bahn from Fischweier.

Hello AlbTal team! Yesterday I hiked this tour and enjoyed the beautiful nature on the ascent to the Mittelberg and then in the Moosalb Valley. What I did not like so much was that the paths were predominantly "hard" materials, i. Gravel and asphalt, because as a hiker I like more "soft" ways, especially on longer trips. And another suggestion for improvement: Please set up again a bank in the covered area of the S-Bahn in fish ponds, you could see that there was already one. With lightning and thunder, followed by a hail-rain mixture above me, the 45-minute wait was no pleasure and no successful conclusion. This "little thing" would have been very welcome.
Nevertheless, thanks for the tour proposal, because the nature was really impressive.
