From Bratislava it is about 82 kilometers on the Hungarian side of the Danube to Györ. On the third stage, enjoy the enchanting riparian landscape that forms the tributaries of the Danube. Manageable slopes lead you through small dreamy villages to the Slovak-Hungarian border area to Györ, the sixth largest city in Hungary. It has a beautiful baroque old town with all sorts of sights to offer.

Personally, I found the track very monotonous, over 30 km along a dam, the Danube is framed almost canal-like up to the dam, the dreamy villages are only passed at the end of the stage. There are certainly more interesting alternative routes.

Unfortunately, the route leads directly behind the border crossing in Medvedov on a motor road on which bicycles are prohibited. About the villages east of the road but you can avoid wonderful without much detour.Have changed at Bratislava on the southern Danube side, then you have the chance on the very elongated Danube Island past Vojka to drive to the dam. Very long and less traveled bike path with a "middle of the Danube" feeling.

The route on the main road at the Danube bridge at the former border crossing between Medvedov and Györ is, as Alexander already writes, banned for cyclists and life-threatening! It would be nice if the author "Danube Cycle Path" adapted the route. In addition, the way at the dam is really very monotonous and therefore not recommended.
