Helenenruh Viewpoint — HWN 21: View of the Brocken and Schierke

Highlight • Viewpoint

A small refuge and the location for the Harzer hiking nobility number 21 can be found here, but not more. Helenenruhe is only with a bit of headfirst the view into the 150-meter-deep valley of the cold Bode - and with a clear view of the Brocken - free. Nevertheless, a really nice place for picnics, pause and pause, before you go on the way back to misery.

Ahrensklint Cliff and Viewpoint (HWN 13)

Highlight • Natural Monument

Located at 822m you will find here another stamp office of the Harzer hiking nobility - number 13. About quite powerful metal ladders succeed even untrained the rise, which is really worthwhile. Not only for the photo view, but also for orientation opens up a great view towards Wurmberg and Brocke. Fun fact: Ahrensklint is derived from "Eagle cliff / eagle rock" and is here the oldest name of a forest village, since he changed in 1400 between forest tenants.
