Today, on the second tour in the Mühlenkreis, there were only a few windmills to see, but there were more meters of altitude. Nevertheless, the section on the ridge of the Wiehengebirge was the most beautiful of the tour. The highlight today was undoubtedly the start in Lübbecke, namely the shopping at the Barre brewery. A six-pack of each variety ✌️
Hello dear cycling friends, I thought about driving the 6 side routes of the mill route. So I started this tour. "Mill route - around Lübbecke" plus arrival and departure from Hille. On this tour I consciously only took pictures of the mills. After all, it's a mill route ;-). I started in Hille, and met the aforementioned mill route in Nettelstedt. Two mills were waiting for me in Eilhausen. The Königsmühle Eilhausen and the watermill Eilhausen. We continued via Gehlenbeck, Lübbecke, Gut Stockhausen, Alswede, Gut Hollwinkel, and Hüffe Castle to Bad Holzhausen. There I met the Holzhausen watermill, which is located directly on the spa gardens. From now on it was up and down. The next mill on my way was the Roßmühle in Oberbauerschaft. This was followed by the Husenmühle, a water mill in Hüllhorst. Incidentally, the up and down continued. After I had passed Schnathorst the windmill Struckhof followed. Continue through the Wallücke into the North German Plain (without going up and down). The last thing on the route was the windmill in Eickhorst. Shortly afterwards I left the route to head for my hometown Hille. I have to say, I am always amazed at how nice it is to ride a bike in the "Mühlenkreis". This route was also great to drive and very varied.
