Small Rhön hike for children on the "Ellenbogen nature trail" with the spectacular goal of "Noah's sail" on the 815m high summit. ⛰️⭐️ Mostly on forest paths and waist-high meadows 🌸🌾🌿we had a longer nettle escalation phase for the youngest hiker when crossing a confusing section of undergrowth at around 150 decibels 🤯🌿⚡️🚨... from then on it was clear: we won't see any wild animals today! 🐰🦊🦅😑 Fortunately, the great viewing point with a large outdoor slide and an incredible panoramic view all the way to the Wasserkuppe immediately appeared as a comfort. 🗼🛝⛰️⭐️ Short round with a jungle feeling 🤷🏻♀️… off to the outdoor pool for some diving! 💦☀️
...Mini-weekend in the Rhön...yesterday, a stroll through Bad Salzungen, and today, before finally heading home, a detour to Noah's Sail...I can't just drive without at least taking a quick walk around the area 🤭...so, I parked the car and headed to the sail...without any money...🙈...we just wanted to take a quick look 🤣...but...the climb up the sail costs €2 (justified, because it needs maintenance), so we just enjoyed the view from below and thought about coming back up there. It was so beautiful...fog over the valleys, autumnal atmosphere, no one around yet 🍀
A truly wonderful family day with the children and grandchildren: Noah's Sail was the destination, and we hiked the advertised family trail. We also had a stroller and a handcart with us. We shouldn't have done that 😅🫣. Extremely narrow and overgrown paths with tall nettles were truly arduous with all the companions. This was what their faces looked like: 😤😟😕😍🤔🥵. But when we reached Noah's Sail, everything was forgotten and we slid until our cheeks were red... Max, thanks for the creative poem! 💯 A lovely end to the day with our first climbing experiences and then we had dinner together on the rock wall! 🥰
beautiful, cozy tour over the 813 m high Ellenbogen in the northern Rhön with the opportunity to stop at the Thuringian Rhönhaus; Of course used, it's worth it
🎯: Ellenbogen nature trail 🅿️: Rhönhäuschen, Ellenbogen, 5min corner ↔️: 3.90 km ↗️: 150 m ↕️: 814 m 🗽: Rhönhäuschen, Elbow, Noah's Sail 🌡: 10° ☁️ 🌲🌳: 40% 🔝: ★★★★★ Anyone in the area should definitely take a look at the “Ellbogen Nature Trail”. The 4km lap is no problem for children either. 👍 🅿️ can be at Ellenbogen, Rhönhäuschen or 5min corner (Oberweid exit => Rhönhäuschen) Since I travel here often anyway, I will do the hiking trail at different times of the year 🌲🌳🌼🌞☁️❄️. In winter nature seems desolate and desolate, but still has its own charm. 👌
Today we are going to Noah's Sail. The 23-meter-high viewing platform "Noah's Sail" is a destination in the heart of the UNESCO Rhön Biosphere Reserve and has been offering a panoramic view of the region since August 2017. The visitor platform is at a height of 14.5 meters. You have a fantastic panoramic view of the entire Rhön from Thuringia to Bavaria and Hesse. Unfortunately the weather is not playing along today, but it is enough for a short walk. We stop at the Thuringian Forest House and fortify ourselves with friendly hosts. The outdoor area offers a lot of entertainment options, various buildings, a chapel and various animals. A nice walk today too, even if the weather is not quite our thing.
