Rundwanderweg LT 13: Kloster.Kirchen.Fachwerk – Tagestouren Liebliches Taubertal

The hike has a high proportion of tar paths but is nice to walk. The signage for the route is very good but does not completely correspond to the route on Komoot.

We start at the train station in Gerlachsheim, which is far outside of town. So we have to get into town first. After the last houses, the long ascent through the Gerlachsheim vineyards begins. At the top we turn left onto a forest path, where a deer crossed my path. After we left the forest, we were in the middle of rape fields. Here we not only reach wonderful views but also the first summit. After a right turn, the path descends to Grünsfeld, which we reach on a beautiful bike path. When you arrive in Grünsfeld, you first walk along the country road into the small town centre. There was little half-timbering here, but other beautiful things. We cross the railway line, walk on a paved road with views of the 4,000-inhabitant city on the next mountain. Once at the top, a bench invites you to linger before going down again on the other side. We hike the last two kilometers on a panorama trail to Gerlachsheim. In Gerlachsheim, past the monastery and back to the train station. Conclusion: Even if it wasn't as much half-timbered as the name suggests, it was a great hike Highlights: views Gerlachsheim Monastery greenfield

🌤️ Today the hiking tour LT13 in Gerchsheim was on the agenda and what a beautiful tour it was. 🤩 I was really lucky with the weather 🌦️ because it only started to rain 10 minutes before the end. 🚶‍♂️ I started at the sports field, from there I went straight into the picturesque vineyards 🍇 with fantastic views of the surrounding area. The route continued towards Grünsfeld, where historical highlights and idyllic paths 🌳 awaited me. 💡 I particularly liked: * The small panoramic views 🏞️ along the vineyards * The charming old town of Grünsfeld 🏘️ * And the many quiet forest sections 🌲 that are perfect for relaxing. Nice tour through vineyards and the Grünsfelder valley. Well signposted and walkable. The church in Gerlachsheim is very impressive.
