April 13, 2025,3-Täler Weg Kastellaun
Today I headed back to the Hunsrück, to Kastellaun. The 3 Valleys Trail was pleasantly easy on my knees, so I could protect my injured meniscus. But honestly, the flat tour with about 50% asphalt doesn't offer as much variety as I expected. The valleys are somewhat similar and lack any special features.

Today we first went to Kastellaun on the 3 Valleys Circular Trail, the official description of which you can read below. It was a relaxed, quiet hike, and I enjoyed the scenery. I wasn't so fond of the condition of the trails: over 6 km of asphalt, wide forest paths with gravel, etc. But you know that beforehand. Since we …

And we really liked stage 21 in particular, starting at Kastellaun Castle.

There were enough parking spaces and I liked the first few meters through the old town.
The tour is well marked.
I already start the hike and it goes slightly downhill on a narrow path. Arriving at the Kastellauner See, I …
