Everything was perfect again today. The weather was glorious, the tour and the area anyway. The mountain hiking trail to the Spitzmauer with an incline of up to 34% really made us sweat. But that's how it should be. In summary: It almost doesn't get any better than this.

Today I follow in the footsteps of Hippo. We start our circular hike from the train station in Rabenstein. A short section of the path when leaving is missing. I was very glad I got the gps. had, because it is sometimes confusingly labeled. We made the loop without getting lost. We overtook four girls who were walking away quickly …

We took the train from St.Pölten to Warth (Steinschalerhof) and from there we walked to the Gaisbühel. From there down to Rabenstein over the ruins and by train back to St. Pölten. worked fine

The Geißbühel is considered a particularly beautiful flower mountain. The many dirndl bushes on the southern slope gave it the name "1000 dirndl mountain". At 841 m above sea level, the Josef Franz Hütte is located on the idyllic summit meadow with a great view. The jewel of nature lovers is unfortunately only open on weekends. A convenient self-service drinking …
