The Casello di Borsetti is a small building that was used in the past as a customs post that served as a refreshment point for patrols on the coast, called the "Government Hope Casello".
Sub-Brigadier Giovanni Borsetti, who had the task of checking against smugglers, but did not disdain to carry out some manual work, obtained the post of guardian. His main activity was soon joined by that of cobbler as the area lacked a person to repair shoes and boots. When he reached retirement age, Borsetti remained in the place, where he had now become a well-known and respected character, both by fishermen and by the inhabitants of the area.
In 1917, therefore, the municipal administration of Ravenna decided to entitle the group of houses that was forming around his workplace with the name of Casal Borsetti.
