This pine forest is part of the larger pine forest of Ravenna, a huge forest that extends for about 11 kilometers. The stretch you travel here, north of the Lamone river, is the narrowest and is locally called "Bedalassona". Like most pines in Italy, these too were planted around the year one thousand for the production of wood. Today it is still a perfect place to take a walk away from the heat of the beach.
