Punta Aderci Beach

Highlight • Beach

Wild and untouched pebble beach in a beautiful nature reserve.

Spiaggia di Punta Aderci is one of the most beautiful and unspoiled beaches in Abruzzo. It is located directly below the iconic rocky point with the trabocco, hidden in the Riserva Naturale Regionale di Punta Aderci. This beach is perfect for nature lovers: no rows of umbrellas or loud beach bars, but pure nature, clear water, and an impressive view of the cliffs.
The beach consists mainly of sand mixed with pebbles and stones. The water here is incredibly clear and invites you for a refreshing dip during your hike or bike tour along the coast.

View of Punta Aderci

Highlight • Viewpoint

From here it is possible to admire Punta Aderci and the Libertini beach. To reach the sea you will have to walk a few more meters on a white road. If the day is hot it might be a good time to cool off!

The Marine Nature Reserve of Punta Aderci is a marine ecosystem with a very high degree of flora and fauna biodiversity to be protected: it includes the wonderful beach of Punta Penna and the Port of Vasto.
Here is the typical Mediterranean scrub environment, the dune environment where the fratini nest, a particular species of finch bird protected by the WWF Abruzzo and the Abruzzese Ornithological Station (SOA), a species that is found above all in this area due to the presence of a wonderful sea among the most uncontaminated in Italy, not only in Abruzzo!
It is a perfect place for solo and family sports excursions in full contemplation of the wonderful maritime landscape and in full respect of the surrounding natural environment.

Panoramic View from Punta Aderci

Highlight • Viewpoint

This panoramic point is located within the Punta Aderci Regional Nature Reserve along one of the most spectacular stretches of the entire Via Verde of the Costa del Trabocchi. Here you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Punta Aderci beach and the homonymous trabocco. To reach the viewpoint it is necessary to take a small detour from the main route and take a dirt road with a very compact surface that can be traveled on with any type of bike.
