Torre de Albenda

Highlight • Historical Site

This tower is also known as Torre de las Granadillas and is part of the La Capitana route. It is in a poor state of conservation despite the pressure from the neighborhood that calls for it to be restored.

The walk up to the vertex is aesy but does feature some rocky passages so proper footwear is definitely recommended.

January 21, 2023,Rincón de la Victoria: Arroyo Granadillo - Torreón de Albendas (SL-A 82)
The first part of the Arroyo Granadillo is not really very nice. And it's easy to drive up just a little bit further to where the trail ends up back in the arroyo.

It's definitely a winter route, there is absolutely no shade. For winter, however, it's good. Nothing spectacular, but nice views over Rincón de laVictoria.
The path leads from the start through Rincon de la Victoria and then for a long time through a dry river bed, where cars also drive. After that the tour is nice. We modified the way back a bit so as not to walk through the riverbed again. We thought that was nicer.
