Finally cooling down after three days of heat, time to counter the lack of exercise with a long walk. The Hönower lakes are very nice for a little relaxation in the afternoon, lots of birdsong, a pair of swans with their offspring, all in all a very beautiful piece of nature right in front of the Berlin border.

Today we drove to Haussee in Hönow.
We walked around Haussee and Retsee.
On the way we discovered Anni's Cafe and ate homemade cakes and sipped tea.
At the end we were rewarded with a great sunset.

The secluded, sometimes hidden access points to the lake attract wild campers, wild barbecuers and anglers. The waste left behind is very unsightly. There are plenty of rubbish bins along the way, but unfortunately they are rarely used. What a pity.
