Brodtener Steilufer Cliffs

Highlight • Natural Monument

I usually take my binoculars and watch for ducks on the Baltic Sea. 🦆 There are other than mallard ducks. 😉

A cycle path that is easy to use, but is also used by many walkers, so consideration is advised.

Travemünde Baltic Sea Promenade

The Baltic Sea promenade can be cycled, the promenade on the Trave can only be pushed. Great promenade, wide beach and big boats.

Travemünde Beach Promenade

Highlight • Beach

For me, Travemünde is one of the most beautiful coastal towns due to its many possibilities. On the one hand the shopping mile, on the other hand the fishing port, beach, hiking trails and ships. Just never boring ...

August 29, 2024,Steilküstenrunde von Timmendorfer Strand nach Travemünde
Start at Timmendorfer Strand to Travemünde. Along wonderful old and new Baltic Sea resort villas on the beach avenue, the path takes us at a leisurely pace to Niendorf on the pier. It is shaped like a fish (of course you can only see it from the air, but there is a sign) and has a pretty head with several …

Rental biobike 🥵, mostly in fog, but great mystical atmosphere, with 5 degrees at the end

Today we went along the cliffs from Travemünde to Timmendorfer Strand. The wind was a constant companion today. It's very impressive when you can look out from the cliffs into the endless expanse of the Baltic Sea.

The highlight of a bike ride from Niendorf to Travemünde is the passage along the Brodten Cliffs. Unfortunately, collapses have become more frequent in recent years, so for the first time, a section has been closed and requires detours. Nevertheless, the tour is worthwhile.

We took advantage of the wonderful weather today to start a little exploration tour towards Travemünde.
The path along the cliffs is truly breathtaking... and fortunately not crowded at the moment.

With a rental bike on the Baltic Sea, as my first choice has been waiting for spare parts at Meinhövel for almost 4 weeks.

Today by bike along the coast from Travemünde to Timmendorf. A beautiful route that also runs a little through the forest along the cliffs. In Niendorf and Travemünde you can only push the bike along the promenade. But still worth it.

Showing Translation

We cycled along the cliff-side cycle path to Travemünde. We took the Priwall ferry twice in Travemünde harbour. We had a quick fish and chips on the way back 🐟 +🍺.
