A very nice tour with blue skies and sun, which came to light much earlier than announced.😀

The area around Clausen was new territory for me, but it was beautiful new territory😊

Not much can be seen of the Heidelsburg, but it was fun to take a break on the bench with a view of the valley and walk along …

Heidelsburg was once a Celtic refuge before being taken over by the Romans. Drawing a line from Kindsbach to the hilltop settlement and the nearby customs station in Enkenbach and Bad Dürkheim reveals a Roman trade route to our region.

On April 21, 2019 I had shortened the soul rock(s) on the Palatinate Forest Path because I couldn’t spend the night in Heltersberg or at Clausensee and the stage was quite long (26 km without the soul rock circuit). Since then I've wanted to do the lap around the soul rocks again, now I've done it.
