Easternmost Point of Bavaria

Highlight • Monument

Of course, the easternmost point of Bavaria is something special for Bavarians, but there is no point in going up the difficult path just because of the sign. You can also see the sign in a photo.

View of the Bavarian Forest

Highlight • Viewpoint

Rather difficult climb, partly along a stream, you should be sure-footed and sturdy shoes are necessary.

The Dreiländereck has a very special flair. With just a few steps, you can cross the respective border and "set foot" in Germany, the Czech Republic, or Austria as you please.

If you want to take a break and have a snack, you can do so there on the huge stone table.

The path, which is in places heavily blocked, leads directly along the German-Czech and Austrian-Czech borders. The Bavarian Forest-Bohemian Forest border also runs here in the border triangle.

ridgeway

Highlight • Trail

The dead trees are impressive and the hike is not very demanding. When it is wet or at low temperatures, you should be very careful not to fall, as the path then becomes a stream.

Great tour in a very beautiful landscape with fantastic weather. Very strenuous , not only because of the ascent , the ground was very wet , partly covered with snow , and therefore deep !
Nevertheless, anytime again 👌❤️

Very exhausting, but a great round and great views. Had 1.5 m of snow and was sometimes exhausting. Recommendation: it is best to take snowshoes with you when hiking in winter.

Since we were on an errand, we thought you could go to Bayer. Go hiking in the forest. The Plöckenstein is a popular excursion destination, so the ridge path from Dreisesselberg there was very popular and the Plöckenstein summit cross was also well attended. With good visibility we could even see the Alps.
