View of Diez and the River Lahn

Highlight • Viewpoint

Today's cycle path leads a little further north, beyond the car park and sewage treatment plant. On this path - which is now designated as a footpath - you are closer to the Lahn and have beautiful views of the river and the town of Diez.

Bad Ems is a very sophisticated spa town with a beautiful and manageable park on the Lahn, extremely well-kept buildings, cafés, restaurants and a classic grand hotel like in Monaco.

Bad Ems is a place worth seeing, not only for the Great Flower Parade. It also offers many hiking tours to the Taunus heights on both sides and the wonderful Lahn Valley cycle path.

Lahn Riverside Cycle Route

Highlight • Cycleway

A wonderful cycle path that takes you directly along the banks of the Lahn. It winds through the narrow Lahn valley and offers you great views of the wooded slopes and steep rock faces that line the valley.

June 4, 2022,Lahntalradweg 2022 : Bad Ems - Limburg
We have already traveled the Lahn in 2019 from the source to Niederlahnstein. Now we have deepened the most beautiful section again.
We were stationed in Limburg and took the train to Bad Ems in the morning. The nine euro catastrophe announced by the press was not recognizable. The train was well occupied, but our bikes were the only ones …

Very nice tour with a few nasty climbs, especially tough at 30 degrees🥵 otherwise a dream in terms of scenery🚴😍👍🏻

Unfortunately we had to end our tour in Bad Ems and turn back to Nassau because of rail replacement services by 🚌

Today, from Geilnau, it was uphill and downhill like a roller coaster. Thanks for the many "Huis" (swooshes) downhill after the gasping "Ochs" (bull) uphill from my fellow travelers. With you, no mountain is too high for me! <3

Short stage along the Lahn from Bad Ems to Limburg. Very nice, varied route on mostly good paths. In between there were a few small hills.

Only komoot itself knows why komoot didn't upload the section yesterday. In my opinion, the most beautiful section of the Lahn cycle path in terms of nature. But also the most challenging because of the many climbs and obstacles in the form of fallen trees (photos from Sunday).

Just cycled towards Nassau, then it turned out to be a wonderful bike tour to Limburg. Between Nassau and Obernhof it was quite demanding with some steep climbs, but also doable for organic cyclists (yes, they still exist 😉). From Obernhof, the Lahntalradweg runs almost exclusively along the river, with some extremely beautiful sections. A lot has happened here compared …
