The covered walkway is surrounded by very high slabs, structures specific to the monuments of Ile-Grande and Keryvon. They are interpreted as being an intermediate wall inside the mound and whose purpose was undoubtedly to retain the earth from the tumulus. This covered alley was classified as a historic monument on January 23, 1956.
