The famous Crete Sinese, known for the Strade Bianche race, which graces the cycling calendar every March. I had been in this area once before, on my bike to Rome in 2015. At the time, the route was on asphalt, but I looked around me eagerly at all those beautiful gravel roads that I was not driving at the time.
