A superb cycle path along a former railway line, an absolute experience. From Tarvisio onward, it gets even better. More info: alpe-adria-radweg.com/mobile/de

Very nice cycle path near Tarvisio, old railway line, now Alpe-Adria cycle path.
A perfect path, most beautifully in the direction of Tarvisio, Pontebba and almost as far as Venzone.

Alpe Adria Cycle Route

Highlight • Cycleway

This cycle path is 415 kilometers long and connects the cities of Grado and Salzburg. It can be traveled in both directions. In Italy it is called “FVG 1” while in Austria it is “R2.” The cycle path took the place of the old railway of which many details can still be seen, especially the tunnels, stations and some tracks. Along the cycle route some of the stations have become bars/restaurants, creating important refreshment points for cyclists. The cycle path was inaugurated in 2011.

Up to Tarvisio always easy and sometimes steep uphill. Needed 25% on eco.
Lots going on today on Sunday, but it was spread out on the super signposted cycle path Autobahn. Tarvisio is beautiful, you should spend 2 days there...🙃
